Colorado Snowmobiling

One-Hour Adventure
This is the Winter Park Colorado Snowmobiling tour for those who want to experience a ride, but only be out for about an hour. Guides make two short stops. This tour does not reach the Continental Divide or any high view points, but does blend in both wide groomed snowmobile trails and some “single track,” a nice tour for first timers or families with small children who are hesitant about going out for two hours. Eight (8) years old and under ride FREE with paid driver. Reservation required. Minimum of four snowmobiles required.

Continental Divide Adventure
(Approx. 2-hours)
The most popular snowmobile tour in the state is also Grand County’s only adventure tour to the Continental Divide. The tour is for all abilities on wide regularly groomed trails. We follow the Historic “Moffat” railroad route to Corona Pass (weather permitting). Tours top out at nearly 12,000 feet with views of the entire Winter park Ski area and the Fraser Valley. Play in a large open bowl above timberline. Guides will customize your descent to the base with a blend of exciting “single track” trails in the forest, open meadows and groomed trails. Guides are equipped and trained to offer you a safe and enjoyable experience. Perfect for the beginner to intermediate rider and families looking to experience Colorado’s Back country on a snowmobile.

Advanced Adventure
Available Monday thru Friday after January 1st.
(Four hours, single riders only) Starts Jan 1st.
For those riders who want to experience more of Colorado’s back country and see places only our guides know about, and for those who want to learn how to ride off the groomed trails in endless powder fields without the worry of getting lost or stranded, this is the trip for you. Riders must be intermediate to advance. We ride the latest and most advanced lightweight powder machines. We provide, at no extra cost, suits, boots and full face “snow cross” style helmets. All trips will begin by spending more time on the Continental Divide before exploring the “hidden” areas. Guides will stop at the most scenic areas and will spend extra time instructing everyone how and where to ride. The tour is not about speed but how to get the most enjoyment at minimal risk out of a half day of Snowmobiling in Colorado Mountains. Tours depart at 9am Monday thru Friday. Advance reservation and minimum of 4 drivers required. This tour departs from our unguided location in downtown Winter Park (Beaver Village).

Lunch Adventure
Available Monday thru Friday after January 1st.
Private groups who want to spend the better part of a day snowmobiling and enjoy a hot lunch at Winter Park Mountain Lodge Restaurant. Groups arrive at 9:30am to prepare for a two-hour morning tour. After a nice meal, we go out in the afternoon for two more hours. All tours will experience the Continental Divide and other trails in the Winter Park area. Minimum of 6 required.

BLM Adventure
Available Monday thru Friday after January 1st until March 15th.
For those who have experienced all of our Winter Park trails including the Continental Divide and would like to ride in a more secluded area away from the mainstream, the BLM tour is in an area six miles north of Winter Park. Tours are regulated to co-exist with the local wildlife, including elk, deer and moose, who use this as a “wintering ground,” and not to greatly disrupt the harmony of their winter environment. While we have no open “play areas” on this tour, the guides do stop more often to allow everyone to view this “wintry wonderland.” We ride from 8,000 -10,000 feet where wildlife encounters are much more common and views are spectacular looking south towards the Continental Divide and Winter park Ski area as well as the beautifully Fraser Canyon and the Indian Peaks Wilderness Area.
Reservations are required. We operate only eight (8) snowmobiles per tour. Tours depart at 10am and 1pm. A one-hour early arrival at our Grand Adventures Base is required in order to check in and catch the shuttle to the BLM trails. This area is not recommended for first-timers or apprehensive riders. We recommend everyone take our Continental Divide tour before experiencing the BLM tour. This tour is only available when snow conditions allow.
